Uprising XXX Event Rules

Failure to follow the rules may result in expulsion of the offender and in some cases their entire encampment as determined by the Autocrat and/or Seneschal. If you are removed you will not receive a refund, so it doesn't need to be repeated elsewhere.

Site Opens Tuesday June 13 at 12:00 noon. Anyone arriving before 12 noon may be sent off-site to return later as to not block the access roads. Site Closes Sunday June 18 at 12:00 noon.

Visitors who have not paid a site fee will not be allowed past Gate. Everyone must sign in prior to coming on-site regardless of age. All deliveries for our guests MUST be left at Gate.

Children must be properly signed in. All persons under the age of 18 must have a bracelet ID on them at all times. (Bracelets will be handed out at the gate.). If you are bringing a child who is NOT yours you MUST have 2 copies of properly signed SCA Children's Waivers (Signed by the child's legal parent or guardian). In addition if said child will participate in any form of combat (Youth Combat, Rapier, or Heavy Armor Combat) they will also need a SCA Medical Authorization for Minors. We do NOT require any form of Temporary Grant of Guardianship, nor will this be allowed to substitute for the above mentioned requirements.

Pets must be kept on leash or properly contained when in camp. Responsible pet owners will clean up after their pets. Irresponsible pet owners will be asked to leave the event.

Premium parking spaces are assigned this year. Unless you have paid for and been assigned a premium space, you must park in General Parking. Campers and RVs must be parked in the areas designated for RV Parking. Tow Vehicles MUST be connected to the Camper or parked in the area designated as General Parking (marked on maps also as Dragon Lands). All vehicles MUST have a properly filled out "Parking Permit" (with real name, SCA name, and group camping with) visibly displayed through the front windshield on the driver's side of the dashboard. Failure to follow parking rules could result in a vehicle being towed off site. Should such action be required, the vehicles owner assumes all responsibility.

Roads and Grounds:
There is a 5 MPH/8 KPH speed limit for all roads within the site. This is the speed of someone walking. Driving faster than this will cause damage to the farm pasture. Have respect for the Earth, and the land owner, and hold your speed down.

Do not climb over or through any fence, please use the gates.

No driving over dikes. This will damage the property. Please use the designated roads.

There is a large earth berm on the west side of the north camping area, near the battlefield. It is fenced with barbed wire that can cut you. Please do not climb on the berm. It is loose dirt and playing on it will degrade it. Stay out of the fenced berm area.

There is a canal running beside the property. Be aware of this and use appropriate caution, as you would around any body of moving water.

Children:
Minors (persons under 18 years of age) must be in their encampment by 10 pm each night unless escorted by their legal guardian.

Children under 14 must remain within visual range of their parent or responsible party at all times. We recommend use of radios for youth over the age of 14 so they remain in contact of their parents. Children found unsupervised will have their parents/guardians activities interrupted so they may retrieve their wayward children.

Kids are very welcome, but there are no babysitting facilities. (This includes Youth activities and the Playground.) You are expected to be in control of your children at all times.

We request that any parent who has their child attending a children's activity, donates at least an hour per child of their time to help the Children's Activity Coordinator.

Use of Youth Combat equipment without proper supervision will result in confiscation of said equipment. No pickup fights outside of authorized areas.

Children caught in the area of the canal unsupervised will be cause for ejection from the event without refund for themselves and their guardians.

Camp:
Vehicles will be allowed to temporarily park on roadways and Fire-lanes for loading and unloading only. General parking is near camps, please minimize the vehicle travel in and around the camps.

Above Ground Established Fire Pits Only. Disposal of Ashes, Partially burnt wood, un-burnt wood must be done in the community fire pit behind Grand Pavilion. Disposing of ashes, partially burnt wood, or un-burnt wood on the ground is forbidden (Don't burn the grass!). Unburned firewood may be put back in the firewood pile.

Trash, Junk, Etc. must be disposed of properly. At the end of the event, if you don't want to take it home with you, you MUST throw it in the trash dumpster. Please leave the site better than you found it.

Water is available on-site near the farm house.

Porta Potties are provided for a reason. Please use them appropriately. No feminine products or diapers shall be deposited.

Anyone setting up camp in any but lands designated for camping, will be forced to move. The Fire-lanes widths and positions are mandated by the local fire department.

Please keep noise levels low between 11pm and 7am each night. Remember, while you are having fun, some people are trying to sleep, please be considerate, play quietly, and there won't be any problem. With the exception of Merchants, there is no camping in Town Center.

Other:
Only Authorized Fighters (Proof of Authorization and valid membership will be required.) may participate in combat events. We will honor all current Combat Authorization cards from other Kingdoms in the Known World. However we will follow Artemisian Rules for combat. Should you have a question please contact our Rapier Marshal or Knight Marshal.

Use of devices capable of launching projectiles are reserved for the appropriate Range or battlefield at scheduled times. Use of these devices outside of these areas is prohibited.

Main Battlefield and other fighting areas are off limits to everyone but site personnel after dark.

Family Radio Service (FRS) Channels 9-14 are reserved for Site Personnel, and Event Staff. Autocrat monitor Channel 10.
